Motion Design | Visual Storytelling | Fintech Communication
This was a collaborative project created for Smartly.sg, aimed at introducing cryptocurrency investing in a simple and accessible way. My role focused on motion design development, visual storytelling structure, and motion animation execution.
Context & Goal
Cryptocurrency investing is often perceived as complex and intimidating, especially for first-time investors.
The objective was to present cryptocurrency through Smartly’s platform as a simple, automated investment experience that lowers the barrier to entry for new users.
The video was designed as a short, one-minute infographic that explains the value proposition clearly while maintaining a friendly fintech visual style.
Design Approach
The project followed a straightforward narrative structure:
Complexity → Simplification → Accessibility
The first part of the video reflects the fragmented and overwhelming nature of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
As the story progresses, the visuals moved toward a cleaner and more structured system, representing Smartly’s approach to automated portfolio management.
Visual & Motion Execution
The video used 3D-rendered assets presented with a 2D visual treatment.
Motion was used to guide viewer attention and maintain a natural visual rhythm. The animation pacing was matched to the voice-over narration so that each idea could be communicated clearly without feeling rushed.
